What is sleep ?
Although we spend nearly a third of our lives asleep , the average person
understands little about sleep itself nor can provide a definition of what good
sleep actually is.
Good sleep is a lot like breathing. A moment , all the time in your life. We can do
whithout it for short periods of time , but eventually we need to sleep . We
actually learn our sleep pattern after we are born. This is good news. If you have a
lousy sleep pattern now, you can learn a new and better one.
There are three characteristics that separate sleep from any other state . They are:
· a perception wall is erected between the conscious mind and the outside world
· it is immediately reversible
· it occurs naturally and periodically
